A residential property in Richmond, California, required replacement of an existing underground sewer line. Because the sewer piping extended beneath a paved roadway, the project required careful excavation planning, traffic control, and restoration of the affected street. A trenchless pipe-bursting method was selected to replace the existing sewer line while minimizing continuous excavation along the pipe's route.

The In Demand Plumbing, Heating & Air team completed a trenchless sewer line replacement using pipe-bursting technology. Work included: - Established a roadway work zone with traffic-control signs, barricades, and cones. - Used excavation equipment to access the underground sewer line. - Prepared access excavations for the trenchless replacement. - Installed new 4-inch SDR sewer piping using the pipe-bursting method. - Installed sewer cleanout access piping as documented in the project photographs. - Placed aggregate backfill in the excavated areas. - Compacted the backfill using mechanical compaction equipment. - Restored the affected roadway with asphalt paving material. - Spread, leveled, and finished the asphalt restoration area. The project photographs document the sewer piping installation, excavation work, backfilling, compaction, and roadway restoration.
