The problem

What we found.

The property required replacement of its existing underground water service line connecting the water meter to the home. The line ran beneath the landscaped front yard, requiring careful excavation to access the existing plumbing and establish a route for the replacement water main. Replacing an underground water service line is an important investment in the home's plumbing infrastructure.

The solution

What our team did.

Our In Demand Plumbing team excavated the front yard to access the underground water service route between the water meter and the home's service entry. The project scope called for installation of up to 60 linear feet of new 1-inch Schedule 80 PVC water main using properly primed and solvent-welded fittings, with appropriate transition connections to the existing plumbing. Schedule 80 PVC was selected for its thicker pipe walls and corrosion resistance. The installation scope also included pressure testing after the required curing period and backfilling of the excavated trench. The project photos document the excavation, exposed piping, and new water line placement.
